The event will provide an opportunity to discuss future needs for environmental health research and how does the research respond to public health priorities. Ongoing EU funded research projects dealing with environmental effects on children's health will be presented as examples of research that should underpin future public health policies. The discussion will encompass the views of the presenting researchers and 3 invited policy-makers in the areas of environment and health and will focus on future research needs and what information policy-makers need to obtain from research in order to proceed with public health policies.  Work under the FP7 ENRIECO project will be outlined.   For more information on the Fifth Ministerial Conference on Environment and Health please visit: http://www.euro.who.int/parma2010
